  • The one who stands silently by your side <3

    This week has been...very tiring...and it's not even over yet.

    My grandma went to the emergency room on Sunday because she fell flat on her face after a dizzy spell from rising to her feet too quickly.  Mixed emotions.  Confusion.  Fear.  Everyone rushed to her side, yet I sat there, unable to offer help.  People were grabbing chairs, ice, napkins, asking her a billion questions - I had nothing else to do.

    Went home to get all her medication and brought it to ERH.  X-rays, CT Scans, EKGs...it all took more than 2 hours.

    Then today.

    She felt pain in her chest below her shoulder and experienced so much pain that she couldn't sleep last night.  We took her to ERH again.  I call to cancel work.  (good thing...)  This time, we stayed there for 7 hours.  SEVEN whole hours.  Waited.  Waited.  Urine sample.  Waited.  Waited.  Doctor diagnosis.  Waited.  Waited.  X-ray.  Waited.  Waited.  Finally the report came and the doctor concluded...nothing wrong.  Perhaps she just tore a few muscle ligaments or tissue rather than fracturing/breaking bones.

    So thank You, God for letting Grandma be ok so that she can fly to California tomorrow.

    Through all this, one man waited quietly and patiently.  He never complained.  He only offered support and hugs.
    He's the one God gave me.
    Thank you Hun.

  • Back to Vancouver

    Went to Vegas with 4 other girls.  Fun experience.  Gotta love the all day shopping and eating and sightseeing part of it =D

    I don't think I've ever walked so much in my life hahaha!

    Recommendations:
    * Wynn Buffet - food is ***** five stars!
    * Cirque du Soleil - watch their shows...any of them...amazing!  We watched Mystere...hilarious hehe~
    * M&M's World - just cause I love them hehe^^
    * Fashion Show Mall
    - Sanrio Store - cute stuff galore!  a bit of a disappointment tho..since like 90% of their stuff is Hello Kitty...not as many of the other characters
    - Paul Frank - aww more cute stuff!
    - Crazy Crepes - for the price you pay...it's a much better deal and tastes a lot better than the Robson/UBC crepe cafe place

    There's a lot more but I can only think of those for now hehe =)

  • Wow, Long Time No Post...

    Well, it's been a while since I've posted!  Since June, about a gazillion wedding have occured hehe~  Anyway it was what happened this Sunday that prompted me to finally make a blog, since it's something I'd like for me to look back on and laugh keke~

    On Sunday, as we were sitting down during singspiration, little Cindy (she's what...3-4 years old? maybe older, but less than 10 for sure) turns around and talks to me.  It was surprising because, usually I just say hi and greet her, but never really heard her talk much, anyway it went like this:

    Cindy:  *turns around* Rebecca...are you, are you...
    me:  *leans forward* Hmm?  What?
    Cindy:  *points at me then Henry* Are you, are you two getting married?
    me:  *in shock* O_o  What?
    Cindy:  Are you two getting married?
    me:  Uhhh...*smiles* maybe?  *turns to Henry*  What candy did you bribe her with?
    Henry: *utterly clueless* Huh? o_O?
    me:  little Cindy asked me if we're getting married
    Henry: Wha?  *looks at Cindy*
    Cindy:  *stares at Henry*  Are you two getting married?
    Henry:  *laughs* Wow, why do you say that?
    Cindy:  Because you two look alike!
    me:  We don't look alike!  I have big eyes and Henry has small eyes! *looks at Henry and sees him trying to widen his eyes with his fingers*   -_-"""
    Cindy:  *keeps going* Are you, are you?

    So that was the conversation...I was so shocked lol~  It was so random...then throughout singspiration between songs, Cindy would turn around and make a heart with her fingers and smile at us.  LOL!!  Uh, should I take that as a sign from God?  hehehe^^  (Apparently, Henry's been praying about us, so maybe this is God's way of reassuring him hahahaha)

    On another note, during the ONE day we had snow, I made a snow castle =D

  • roffles...el oh el!!

    Ok...so on Tues, we had almost all the windows in our house replaced cause the old frames were rusting (too much water condensation --> mold --> yuck)  I like the new windows...white frames =DD  but then makes my house look kinda weird from the outside O_o

    Anyway, if any of you have been in my room you'd know how much stuff I have.  I had to move it all out, so that I could move my bed, so that the people could get to my window.  I ended up bagging everything cause we had no extra boxes at home.  When I finished packing I had 10 garbage bags filled with my stuff.  Now's the fun part, I get to put it all back in (my room is all rearranged).  Yeayea, I kinda have a bit of an obsessive organizing personality kinda like Monica in Friends.  (This is completely off topic, but I remember once, I was writing on a card and I forgot what I said, but Henry's threat to me was "Don't make me bump your hand!!!"  And I remember I was all like =O  "OMG how could you?"  soooo yea that kinda shows my obsession).  Ok, back to my room...it's a nice change.  Makes my room seem even smaller than before but I get a nice spot to lounge in to read/play on laptop, etc. by the window.

    Well here's the truly funny part:  I had to wash my curtains/bedsheet cause all the moving made them yucky from dust and the curtains...well I have smooshed spider guts on one side (because when I see something crawling I grab a textbook and smash it against the curtains/against the window).  Of course, I wouldn't want to clean the yucky stuff off...so it stayed there for quite a while lol.  Anyway, I threw my curtains in the washing machine.  (we have a new one cause old one broke down on us).  I don't really know how to use it, although it's an easy 1-2-3 step one made for dummies -_-  I put it on "heavy load" cause the curtains and bedsheet filled the thingie.  When I took it out.  My bedsheets were amazing...very nicely washed...however my curtains...

    There's a big huge hole on one side of it LOL.  I hung it up outside to dry anyway, and am now awaiting the time when my grandma finds out and yell at me >.>  sigh~~

  • Time for another episode of Stixx, enjoy!  =D  (click to enlarge)

    The funny thing about this comic is right after I came up with a sketch of it, Pastor Alex said "Do you like being around big-headed people?  People who are arrogant?"  Then Henry and I looked at each other and almost laughed aloud xD
